Join Collective Arts, WS at MIXXER and learn to screen print! In this two-day maker experience, you will learn to create your own screen to print on a T-shirt or tote bag.
In this maker experience, you will prepare transparencies, learn to coat and expose screens, to print your own
one color t-shirt.
Bring your own graphic, logo, artwork or use one from MIXXER's collection to transfer onto a screen and watch your design transform into wearable, show-off-able art!
**IMPORTANT**
This is a two-day workshop that starts Friday, Sept 3rd at 6 pm to 8pm, and continues Saturday Sept 4th at 11 am to 1pm.
You logo or artwork should be a black design on white background in a digital format. Ensure your design fits within maximum size of the screen of 12-in by 16-in.
White T-shirts will be provided (L and XL sizes available). Participants have the option to bring their own tote bag or T-shirt to screen print on.
Instructor Bio: Maddy Carlson is a maker, artist, and educator hailing from Washington state. She brings her experience and knowledge working and teaching in museum maker spaces to Winston-Salem. As a co-founder of Collective Arts, she partners with local maker spaces and museums, to bring art-based experiences, workshops, and camps to the community.
Maddy’s vision and dream is to connect with local creatives, makers, and businesses through Collective Arts WS. She hopes to create a space for interdisciplinary artists of all ages and levels to create and learn collectively.

Mixxer may cancel workshop 48 hours prior to start time, if the registered minimum of two people is not met in time to prepare materials. Should you need to cancel your registration, 48 hours notice is required to request a cancellation, refund or credit to future workshop date.
