Humans have lots of places to live in cities, but have you thought about what urban development does to the homes of insects that pollinate our flowers and fruits?
An insect hotel is something fun to build, and can bring back the pollinators that make it possible for us to have beautiful flowers, fruits, and vegetables in our urban neighborhoods. Plus, you can make them look funky and cool while still making them useful to pollinators.
In this family friendly workshop you will learn about what insects look for in a home, and make something to bring those little buggers to your yard. Did we mention that you can build it to be more attractive to certain insects? You'll learn all about it in this workshop.
Your admission includes all of the materials, some information about attracting insects and protecting their habitat, and you'll take an insect hotel home with you. Each ticket holder can bring one friend or family member for free!
