  • STUDIO: Flex Space | Woodshop
  • LEVEL: Beginner & Intermediate
  • INSTRUCTOR: Lisa Tolley

In this music maker experience, you will learn to make your own cigar box guitar. Makers will cut and modify the pieces, assemble & string up their guitar. At the end, you will even learn how to play a song on your guitar! It will be musical time even if you don’t know how to play a guitar.

This is a great workshop for makers AND music lovers of any skill level.

INSTRUCTOR BIO: Lisa Tolley started playing guitar since she was 12 years old. Lisa loves anything with strings, and loves music in general! She is inspired by her uncle, who plays and makes banjos. In addition to love music, Lisa also paints and is into all kinds of things. A friend showed her a Cigar Box Guitar and was blown away. She made her first cigar box guitar in April 2020 and now has made over 30 guitars! She makes cigar box guitar out of things she finds around. Funnily enough, she had to learn to play cigar box after making one. She loves that she is now an instrument maker. She believes anyone can make a cigar box guitar.
