Designed for beginners that want to get hands-on metal working and knife making with the bonus of taking home their very first, finished knife!
Attendees will be introduced to knife making by learning safety and the how to use all the tools needed, design concepts, initial steel forming and prep, heat treating, tempering and finishing.
Finally, attendees will shape and fit the wood handle, mount it to the knife, finish it and sharpen the knife's edge.
This course focuses on entry-level skills in knife making.
No prior experience is necessary.
For this class you will need to dress appropriately to participate.
Appropriate attire: Shirt of natural fibers, jeans, and shoes that completely cover feet. Leather or work booths are best!
Additional safety gear will be supplied.
