Are you hesitant to call yourself an artist or creative? Are you a hobbyist who questions your creative ability? Or do you want to bounce creative ideas with a group of like-minded people? If so, come join Collective Arts WS at MIXXER for the Creative Confidence Series.
WHAT IS THE CREATIVE CONFIDENCE SERIES?
The creative confidence series will consist of 4 sessions that will be a blend learning art cultivating your creative process. You will be part of a small community that will approach art and creation with more intention, sharing ideas and challenges.
In each session, participants will be introduced to various artistic topics utilizing the various tools at MIXXER, such as digital art, multimedia, laser cutting, or sewing.
WHO IS THIS SERIES FOR?
Hobbyists, artists (budding or established), creative-minded, and the creatively curious! Basically anyone who wants to explore the arts and harness their creativity in a judgment-free and fun way!
WHAT IS ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING FOR?
The intent of this organization meeting is to:
- gauge interest by community members
- prioritize needs of the potential participants in their artistic endeavors
- discuss timetable, gauge if monthly or weekly session work for people
- discuss cost of the series.
We will offer two organizational meetings: In-Person on October 21st and Virtual on November 5th.

Facilitator Bio: Maddy Carlson is a maker, artist, and educator hailing from Washington state. She brings her experience and knowledge working and teaching in museum maker spaces to Winston-Salem. As a co-founder of Collective Arts, she partners with local maker spaces and museums, to bring art-based experiences, workshops, and camps to the community.
Maddy’s vision and dream is to connect with local creatives, makers, and businesses through Collective Arts WS. She hopes to create a space for interdisciplinary artists of all ages and levels to create and learn collectively.

Workshops must meet a minimum number of registrations. Mixxer may cancel workshop 48 hours prior to start time, if minimum is not met. Should you need to cancel your registration, 48 hours notice is required to request a cancellation, refund or credit to future workshop date.
