Make a Christmas Stocking

Learn to sew or refresh your sewing skills.

Make a Christmas Stocking for yourself or someone you love! Make a stocking for a new family member or update your holiday decor! 

We'll have fabric, thread, patterns, sewing machines, and embellishments for your project, but if you have a particular color or holiday theme in mind, you may want to bring your own fabric. Half a yard should be enough for a stocking.

This workshop is appropriate for beginners of any age. Children under 12 must have an adult with them in class. You will learn how to cut from a pattern, and use a sewing machine. 

INSTRUCTOR BIO: MIXXER's own June Jones has been sharing her expertise and knowledge to members and offering a friendly hand in all their sewing projects. June has been sewing for as long as she can remember. Having had an established career as an electronics technician and running a business focused on sewing machine repairs, June can skillfully assess your machine and give you guidance in all its stitches and settings. Come by and learn stuff about your sewing machine!

• Face masks are required in air-conditioned spaces (Flexspace, Woodshop, Tech Lab).

• Face masks are required when making stuff in close proximity with one another.

• Face masks are optional in open-air spaces (Metal Shop, Dirty Workspace, Outdoors).

Workshops must meet a minimum number of registrations.  Mixxer may cancel workshop 48 hours prior to start time, if minimum is not met. Should you need to cancel your registration, 48 hours notice is required to request a cancellation, refund or credit to future workshop date.
