In this class you will learn to create your own screens to print on a T-shirt or tote bag.
Makers will be introduced to the screen printing process by preparing transparencies, learning to coat & expose screen to make a single color print. Bring your own design and watch your design transform into wearable, show-off-able art!
Please bring your own materials to print on. Appropriate materials: unwashed shirt or fabric swath, or poster board.
You will need to submit your design in advance so we can be sure it will print. Please direct your design and any question to Alan Shelton: email@example.com
Kyle started printing when he was 15 years old, hand cutting stencils and using acrylic paint in his bedroom. Many years and a lot of trial and error led to working at a local screen printing shop. After 2 years of running production, Kyle decided to try and make it on his own.
Kyle started Machine Gun Graphics, now Cotton Street Apparel in 2002 in Florida, running out of his bedroom with a 4 color press. He moved to Winston Salem in 2004. Purchased the first automatic in 2007, and moved into their current location. Kyle always stays up to date with new technologies and processes, and is always trying to grow as a printer.
