Come make a printed patch perfect to customize any piece of clothing! In this class you'll get to learn about the process of using the laser cutter to etch your own wooden stamp before printing it onto fabric. Sew your patches onto jackets, hide the stains on your favorite jeans, or use it to mend worn down clothes!
We will have several designs to choose from or you can bring your own design! If you bring your own design, please ensure that it will fit in a 3x3 inch square, is a black and white image with thick lines, and is either a png, jpg, svg, or dxf file type.
Please wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty as you might get ink on yourself.
Savannah Shanley (she/her) joined the Mixxer staff as Events Manager in May of 2023 after graduating from Salem College. She loves all kinds of creative mediums including painting and printmaking but her biggest passion is the art of quiltmaking and fiber arts. This workshop is for makers 12 years old and older! Makers under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please email workshops@wsmixxer.org with any questions or comments.
Workshops must meet a minimum number of registrations. Mixxer may cancel workshop 48 hours prior to start time, if minimum is not met. Should you need to cancel your registration, 48 hours notice is required to request a cancellation, refund or credit to future workshop date.
