Craft your own wooden frame for a mirror from start to finish in just two sessions! During this class you will learn all the basics of how to create your own wooden frames as well as getting to experience many of the basic tools in the woodshop!
You'll start with a fresh board during the first session, cut it to size with the table saw, and create a groove for the glass to sit in. Then you'll cut a joint with the miter saw before you will glue up the frame and let them cure until the second session
During your second session, you'll secure the miter joints before sanding and finishing with oil or lacquer. Finally, you'll finish up your mirror by cutting a plywood backing to hold the mirror in place and attach hardware to hang it.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to wear long pants and close toed shoes. We'll provide the rest of the safety gear you'll need.
